The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani celebrated its Foundation Day on 6th of August, 2018, at the Institute premises. Eminent writer and author of the book ‘Indica: A Deep Natural History of the Indian Subcontinent’, Mr. Pranay Lal, who is also a biochemist by training, delivered the Foundation Day Lecture. The title of the talk was: “Looking Back to See Ahead - What Can Deep Natural History Tell Us About the Future of Life”. The faculty members, students and staffs of the Institute attended the lectures, interacted with the speakers and celebrated the Day with great spirit.
