Rental apartments are available in plenty. Monthly rental is low but variable, depending on the area. Many apartment complexes are under construction, and apartments are available for purchase.

The residents of Kalyani belong to varied professional backgrounds. Large numbers of doctors, teachers and engineers are residents of Kalyani. Government officers, Army personnel and other service professionals have found Kalyani an attractive town to make their homes.
