Hospitals

For a long time, number of Government Hospitals of this town have been providing health services to the citizens of the town and people from neighbouring areas.

•  The Military Hospital of Roosevelt Nagar has become the "Netaji Subhas Sanatorium" with nick name - T. B. Hospital, an infectious disease hospital.

•  The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital is the most busy one, with 650 beds and many specialized departments.

•  Just opposite Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital is the E. S. I Hospital.

•  Gandhi Memorial Hospital is famous for the treatment of chest diseases; it is a super speciality cardio-thoracic hospital with 300 beds.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital has been upgraded to a Medical College and Hospital. The Bachelor's Degree in Medicine programme has begun this year.
