Till date, NIBMG has generated 37,982 gigabases (Gb) of sequence data which is equivalent to 12,661 human genomes. Our genome clock continues to tick, with acceleration over time

Our Sequencing Highlights 

  1. 800.49 Mb of sequence data in a single Roche GS-FLX run on 24th September 2013 using Titanium chemistry. This is the highest data generated in single run. Earlier, we have generated 793.7 Mb, 767 Mb and 725 Mb which were previously the highest data generated globally.
  2. 1.02 Gb sequence data in a single Ion Torrent PGM run on 214-plex PCR amplification of human genomic targets (Custom AmpliSeq) on 3rd March 2014. This is globally the highest data generated in a single run for this application.
  3. 791 Gb of 2 x 100 bp paired – end sequence data in Illumina HiSeq-2000 in a single run of two flowcells on 29-07-2014.
  4. 875 Gb of 2 x 100 bp paired – end sequence data in Illumina HiSeq-2500 in a single run of two flowcells on 22-02-2016.
  5. 895 Gb of 2 x 100 bp paired – end sequence data in Illumina HiSeq-2500 in a single run of two flowcells on 18-04-2016.
  6. 928 Gb of 2 x 100 bp paired – end sequence data in Illumina HiSeq-2500 in a single run of two flowcells on 12-12-2016.
